Laser Tattoo Removal

Lots of people get tattoos and down the track many will regret the decision.
The reasons for this vary: the tattoos may be poorly placed or designed, the site may have become infected, or the person may have outgrown the tattoo.
Our clinic offer treatments with the Q switch ‘ND YAG’ Laser, whcih can remove tattoos best containing Black, Blue, Green and Red Pigment.
Lasers work by producing short pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin to be selectively absorbed by the tattoo pigment. Whent he ink particles of the tattoo absorb the light from the laser, they are broken up into tiny fragments. These fragments are then absorbed through the body’s natural immune system. The laser selectively targets the pigment of the tattoo without damaging the surrounding skin. Because each tattoo is unique, removal techniques must be tailored to suit each individual case.

How Many Treatments Will It Take To Remove My Tattoo?

On average. professional multi-colored tattoos require 6-10 treatments, while amatuer tattoos usually require 3-5 treatments, all spaced approximately two months apart. The number of treatments depends on the amount and type of ink used and the depth of the ink in the skin.

What Can I expect After My Tattoo Is Removed?

Recovery times depend on the extent of the treatment and the individual’s time to heal. Redness and sensitivity may occur and you should avoid exposing the treated area to the sun, as this may slow down healing. You may not notice significant results until several treatments have been completed.
